The Civil Registration and Residency Service Agency of Addis Ababa City Administration and the National Identity Project Office, in coordination with the City Peace and Security Administration Bureau, held an awareness-raising discussion for the leaders and members of the peace and security structure regarding the benefits and registration.

On the day, the National Identity Project Office Coordinator of the Prime Minister's Office, Ato Yodahe Arayaslassie, the Director General of the Civil Registration and Residency Service Agency of Addis Ababa City Administration, Ato Yonas Alemayehu, and the Deputy Head of the Peace and Security Administration Bureau, Ato Mideksa Kebede, were present at the forum, and a brief introduction was presented to create awareness.

During the discussion, sufficient understanding was created regarding the benefits and process of registration, as well as the distorted perceptions on registration, and an agreement was reached regarding the control of illegal printing businesses associated with the printing of useful ID cards.

In conclusion, the officials stated that a system will be established to monitor and control illegalities in the printing of utility IDs in the future to correct this.
