CRRSA: March 3/2017
The Civil Registration and Residence Service Agency (CRISA) has finalized arrangements to work with the Ethio Postal Service on the printing and distribution of resident ID cards, it was announced today.
The agency has been working on an alternative printing option to alleviate the pressure on the service due to the occasional problems with ID printing resources and printing machinery, and it was announced today that a trial printing was successfully carried out by the Ethio Postal Service.
The Director General of the Civil Registration and Residence Service Agency, Ato Yonas Alemayehu, held discussions with the Chief Executive Officer of the service, Ato Dagmawi Haileye. The officials discussed ways to streamline the process from printing to distribution and alternative options for the accessibility of resident ID cards were also discussed.
The officials reviewed the arrangements that the agency is making to make the printing process accessible by assigning professionals involved in printing, control and security to the service.
