National ID Office provides awareness training to the Council of Religious Institutions:

The National ID Office has provided awareness training to the Council of Religious Institutions of Ethiopia on Faida Digital ID.

Head of the National ID Office, Ato Yodahe Arayaslassie, said that Faida ID is more than a card, and the project will be effective when it is accepted and trusted by all religions.

Since Faida ID is a system that creates a better framework of trust, the owner of the information is the people and the government's responsibility is only to protect it, the head said, adding that the Faida ID system that has been implemented will make it easier to access services because it is linked to all information.

The Director General of the Addis Ababa Civil Registration and Resident Services Agency, Ato Yonas Alemayehu, who was present at the forum, explained that the census originated from religious institutions, saying that we have moved from registering people on paper to knowing their physical condition, and that the work will not be effective without the participation of religious institutions.

Various religious leaders who participated in the forum raised various ideas, and responses and explanations were given by the heads of the institutions.
