Civil Registration and Residency Services Agency branch office of woreda

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicant's Renewed Resident ID or passport must be submitted
• If it is a renewal service, the previous certificate must be returned
• If it is an embassy confirmation, a letter from the embassy explaining the matter and the representative of the embassy must provide a Renewed Resident ID or passport
• If the request is made by representative, specific legal proof of representation that clearly shows the issue, the representative's Renewed Resident ID with complete information, or the representative's passport, a copy of the representative's original and a copy, if from abroad, a renewed passport of the representative's original and a copy of the representative's copy, a decision issued by the court must be submitted for correction requests.

Reminder

•  The residence ID will not be given by proxy and will not be renewed
•  Ethiopians diasporas and foreign nationals living abroad are not issued residence ID
•  Resident ID will not be issued at any business house.
•  Any resident who has been given a residence ID will be issued a new ID after the expiration of the period of service.
