It is stated that it is necessary to strengthen cyber security and protect personal information
The Civil Registration and Residence Service Agency announced that it has provided two rounds of training on cyber security to ICT team leaders and experts from the center to the districts.
It is worth noting that the agency has been providing several trainings on cyber security to ensure the security of the information provided to it as an institution and to maintain operational security.
The director of the agency's ICT Directorate,Ato Aemero Kassa, stressed that it is also an obligation to examine ourselves in terms of cyber security and increase our awareness of cyber security, and to apply the knowledge we gain from the training to protect the confidentiality of information related to individual identity.
Tesfaye Asfaw, Director of the Information Security Directorate of the Innovation and Technology Development Bureau, said during the training that it is necessary to focus on the security of the information you use as an institution, understand the value of personal information, and protect its confidentiality. The trainer also explained that if personal information is not properly protected, it is a crime.
The trainees said that the training was necessary and appropriate, and they expressed their opinion that they gained sufficient understanding about cyber security and that it is a helpful training for improving the security and management of information in the future.
