We are working on a model for our country that will reduce the suffering of residents in our city and replace corrupt practices with a modern and complete digital civil registration system, providing residents with fast and efficient services.
By replacing birth, death, marriage, divorce registration; issuance of resident ID; document verification and related services with a digital service that is free from human contact, and by covering our 132 service centers from the center to the woreda with a camera surveillance system, we have reached a point where we can provide birth, death, marriage, divorce, identification, document verification and related vital services at one center in each woreda every day, monitor the service provision from the center, and immediately know how much service has been provided every hour and every day without any reports.
We have increased transparency in the operation by requiring all employees of the institution to wear uniforms and identification badges to distinguish them from fraudsters and brokers who pretend to be employees of the institution.
In addition to the services provided to our residents at the center, the former Sheger Park has been made available to provide better services for their wedding and birthday programs in the center. We are ensuring fairness by providing our residents who cannot afford to pay for this service at large parks and entertainment venues with wedding and birthday celebration spaces, materials, and photography services at this center and its branches.
In addition, we are currently registering residents for the National ID service at the head office, in each branch office, and in institutions where a wide range of services are provided. On this occasion, since the National ID is of great benefit, I call on all of you to strengthen your registration.
